I go to New York Deli when I'm sick and I want soup because they always have at least 6-8 soups available everyday. I think the only kind I've ever had is the Chicken Lemon Rice and it always hits the spot. I feel their prices are fair: $3.49 for a bowl of soup. I added The Deli Big Jim to my soup order today. I was expecting the sandwich to be on the small side (because of a Yelp! review I had read prior to ordering), but the sandwich wasn't small at all. I think calling it "huge" might be a stretch, but it was definitely a big sandwich. There was a large amount of ham on it and I was pleased with that. The only reason I didn't give them 5/5 stars is because my total seemed a little on the high end. At least it was higher than I expected. I paid about $11.50 for one bowl of soup and one sandwich. It wasn't ridiculous, but I just didn't expect it to be that much. However, I will be back because the quality of the food was very good.

New York Deli is a great little family style restaurant! Everyday they offer at least half a dozen different types of soup and have wonderful deli style sandwiches. I am very particular about the quality/texture of corned beef, and I must say the corned beef they serve here is delicious! In addition to deli sandwiches they offer a a full menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert items, surely something to please everyone. The food and service is consistently good. A great little restaurant! No alcohol.

Have been for breakfast many times. I think the food is good and the price is better than many. I like how they are willing to substitute menu items to accomodate my tastes as well. I really like how clean it always is. Staff is always polite as well. It's worth a visit.

Here's the scoop... it's perfectly good if you don't go out much. I got the split pea soup and a "Slim Jim" (you know, like Big Boy makes). The split pea soup wasn't awful, but it was surprisingly thick, and tasted a bit like baby food... hey, that's not necessarily an insult, I find that baby food's underrated! Anyway, it was rather bland. I know pea soup isn't exactly the most flavorful soup ever, but it was very, very mediocre. The Slim Jim was pretty small, and the bread wasn't toasted/pressed like I'd expected it to. Yeah, they grill the bread for a split second, but it's still a sloppy, slippery mess. The ham they use is good though, and it tasted decent. The service here isn't bad and the workers seem pretty happy, so that's a plus, but there's basically no aesthetic to this place (it was dated when it first opened, so... you know, do the math), and the food, while mostly [SEEMINGLY] made in-house, it's just not a place worth recommending unless you live nearby and you're literally looking for a restaurant around the corner.

8/2/15: Today was my first trip to the new and improved New York Deli. The new look resembled the old one but the place was new and clean. The food and service were both very good. The menu offers something for everyone.

Nice people, I asked about the Quesedias to which they said"they are huge and soo good" I payed the Dinner price @ $8.00 when they came to the table Only 4 were on the plate should be at the least 6 to 7 pieces. I will not return sorry "Goodbye".
